Be Aware — Keywords Are Priceless
As you already know, Google recently discontinued its RSS reader. It is going to retire another favorite tool, the Adwords Keyword Tool. When Google created the Keyword Planner, it combined elements of its Keyword Tool and its Traffic Estimator into one. The purpose of this change is aimed directly at their Adwords users. It was meant to streamline their work and to quickly get new keywords from concept into new campaigns or added to existing campaigns. The idea of integrating it with the Traffic Estimator is to allow Adwords users to model different budgets against the keyword campaigns before implementing the campaigns. The new features, bells, and whistles, are all created to aid only their Adwords users.

So, what about the rest of the world, those of us that use the free tool for keyword research without the pay-per-click, can we still use the Keyword Planner to do what we used to do? You must understand that it is going to be new and different. In the Keyword Planner there are many things that might seem familiar, but there a number of others that are just plain different.
Change can be hard, but in this case it can be worth it. Think about it. If you could look back in time a little bit… What if you could have known the impact that the internet was going to make when it was brand new? What if you could have been there and ready to roll when Google was first announce, and you knew ahead of time that it was going to take off in a big way? What could you have done to make money with that knowledge?
